Where We Go Fishing

The rivers listed below are some of the Northern California favorites of Russell Fishing depending on seasonality, weather conditions, water levels and fishing productivity. There are also many other rivers in the great Northwest, and Russell will fish them if they warrant it during that specific season.  Moreover, Russell will fish some little known creeks, streams and tributaries that other guides will not venture to.

Klamath River Fishing | Smith River Fishing | Trinity River Fishing | Mattole River Fishing

The Klamath River

The Klamath River is 263 miles long flowing southwest through Oregon and northern California, cutting through the Cascade Range to empty into the Pacific Ocean. Russell fishes the Klamath primarily in California in the fall for its huge run of King Salmon

Weather Concerns

Sometimes the weather in the Northwest can put the brakes on a planned fishing charter in a specific area. But that doesn't stop us! Because we fish every day if it wont work in one place we will head to another. For this reason, when you book your Northwest fishing charter with Russell, only the most extreme circumstance will stop us - one way or another!
