Ok, our blog is, well not right, but this is, I fished through the most gnarly rain that I have ever been through. 2 inches plus, no bull shit, it pounded us. But good old ten mile, always clear, and man lots of fish. I am so stoked, if ten mile has a bunch, then there are a bunch every where. Yesterday on the elk I was uplifted by the numbers, ten mile has me going. There are allot of fish. Regardless of conditions ten mile will always fish, it comes out of a lake, no run off, regardless of water volume its always clear. We had a great day, we got 5, lost a couple, and had a couple other sniffs. Going back tomorrow while every river east of the cascades is flooded, and we will get a couple.
yesterdays update got messed up, we landed 7 out of what ever, I tried to update it but the web was not in order. ( you like how nice I was) Now that we got that god damn thing fixed, we had a hell of a day yesterday. Warner Fieldhouse fished with us yesterday and we had a hell of a day. Most guys were salmon fishing, and with good meritt, there are still plenty around, but we changed to what I do best, Steelhead fishing, we got bit, got some lost some, landed some, and got out of there before the wind killed us. Great day.
Dustin had a heck of a start to Steelhead Season. There are lots of fish around. Some guys are still fishing Salmon but we have moved on and it has paid off. They ended up hooking 8 and landing 5. Not bad to start off.
Well happy happy. We have had a interesting December. Salmon fishing this year was one of the finest I have seen, we had great water, lots of fish, lots, we were stoked. Jess and I thank every one that joined us, it was a killer season for us. So back to December, the last two years we have taken a good 3 weeks off to go fish offshore for the oregon coast crab season, last year we were spoiled with high pressure weather systems, tons of crab and a great price. This year not so much, the crab were soft, and the price was even softer which resulted in the whole coast going on strike for two weeks. Buy the time we settled the weather was shit, We have been getting killed here with rain, wind and heavy seas. Being on a small boat the chances we had to go were limited. I still enjoyed it and hope next season is a better one.
