Beautiful Pacific Northwest

In the Pacific Northwest we target Salmon and Steelhead. We fish in Oregon, California and Washington. Our home base is Brookings, Oregon, which is close to the Oregon/California border and right on the Pacific Ocean. Being close to the border and on the Oregon Coast we have the opportunity to fish a couple rivers in California as well as several in Oregon. We fish mid September through March in Oregon and California for Salmon and Steelhead. Once our Steelhead season closes the end of March we pack up and head to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. Here we fish for the big native Steelhead for the entire month of April. After that, in May we head back to Alaska until early September.

Fall Chinook

This is the first fish we go after when we return from Alaska, we start in September and chase these guys into late December. We start off by fishing the Rogue River in Oregon and the Klamath in California. These rivers give us great variety and keep us busy till the rain comes and brings fish into the Smith, Chetco, Elk and Sixes River. We have a few other places we fish, but we keep those under wraps. Our Salmon season runs into mid December at which point our focus turns to Winter Steelhead.

Winter Steelhead

Winter Steelhead, this is our bread and butter and my personal favorite. I grew up chasing these guys and pride myself on being one of the best in the state. We fish all systems, depending on the water conditions, and we go to where the fish are. I will not sit at home to catch 2 fish if I know I can get 6 on a different system a couple hours away. We fish the Chetco, Smith, Elk, Sixes, Rogue, Pistol, Hunter Creek, Klamath, Coquille, Umpqua, Millicoma and Ten Mile Creek. We are diverse and go to catch, no matter what the conditions, we'll find good water to catch fish.

Olympic Winter Steelhead

After our Steelhead season wraps up at the end of March we pack up and head to Forks, Washington on the Olympic Peninsula. Here we continue fishing for the native run of Steelhead for another month. Forks has a great run of Winter Steelhead, we fish the Sol-Duc, Bogachiel, and Hoh River. Over the past few years we have been able to average unbelievable numbers, this is truly a great fishery. The rivers here have some of the most character I have ever seen, this makes it challenging as well as rewarding.
